DO RUEDA

The Denominación de Origen (DO) Rueda is a wine region located in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, in western Spain. It is primarily known for its production of fresh and aromatic white wines, especially made with the Verdejo grape variety.

Wines from the DO Rueda are characterized by their aromatic intensity, with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and herbs. The Verdejo variety brings freshness, structure, and a long finish to the white wines. In addition to Verdejo, other varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Viura are also used.

The DO Rueda has a continental climate with cold winters and hot summers. The soils are mainly composed of gravel and limestone, which promote drainage and heat retention, contributing to the optimal ripening of the grapes.
